Week 4 - LOCKDOWN DRILL

This week we had a safety talk in the hall about how to react to anything that could cause us harm. We were asked questions of 'do you know what you  need to do if you were in a lockdown?' what do we do if the fire alarm bell went off? or if we sighted a fire?
The children then without warning put in a lockdown situation. It was very scary remembering what happened in Christchurch in March and knowing that many schools had been put into lockdown.

We lay on the ground waiting until we were told it was going to be safe. Once we were told, we then moved to our safety evacuation place out the front of the school. Once all children, teachers, support staff, Senior management staff and office, nurses we were then told we did a fantastic job.
But we know we can do better.
