WEEK 2
Its that time of year when our year 6s go to camp again. This week our year 6s had two days of prep for camp. They will be attending 'Lakewood Lodge' in Huntly. This gives the children Independence with being away from home, social skills and also camping skills; which they get to do some survival skills.
In their prep they are put into groups; build a rapport with their group, choose a name and make a chant for their group. This leads to leadership skills and building friendships.
Here is a snippet of them in their groups.

We were given the opportunity to visit the Science Roadshow at St Mary's Catholic School in Papakura who were hosting it.
The children thoroughly enjoyed it and were able to share about what they had learnt.

ATOMs
We had been training for this since last term. This is a fundraiser to help with the costs of our camp year 6s and our EOTC for year 5s. We had to run around a track 6 times. It was very tiring but it was fun to run with our friends. We hope we have made enough money.
